The daughter of a wealthy matriach marries a musician against her mother's objections and is disowned by her. Soon aftewards, the marriage encounters problems and the mother takes advantage of it to get what she had wanted all along for her daughter. Her actions bring about tragic consequences for her and everyone involved.
